Just thought fellow turners show know one of the greats has sadly passed away

Bert Marsh was an inspiration to generations of turners across the globe he will be sadly missed.

Thoughts go to his family and friends.

Oh my. I hadn't heard. I remember him from some NE bowls he did that influence me. Very cool. Seems like there was an exaggerated foot on them.

That's too bad. You're right about the foot on some of his natural edge pieces, John. The del mano gallery has some photos of several of works... Neat stuff.

I had not heard of him, but then, I am pretty new to this turning thing. I did do a search and sounds like he left a pretty good legacy. This book is on Amazon, and I would have to say that the bowl on this cover is in my future!!! Now, I just have to find the right piece of wood.
