My father inlaw retired from the US postoffice. His 78th birthday is this week. My wife and I made him this truck as a gift.
The plan was downloaded from Rockler, we also purchased the back door, wheels, axles and head lights from them. They claim it is postal truck from the 1920's and my father in law was born in 1927, so we put the year in the door.
The body is hard maple, the fenders/running boards are mahogany and the bumpers and radiator trim is jatoba. The jatoba is from scraps from his oldest grandson's new home. They had hardwood floors make from jatoba.
thanks for looking
John and Kris
