No finish----one coat of oil.

Gary, I think you are, too! Pretty neat piece, and you sure "get by" with the center pith on these pieces better than I would ever imagine. I would be afraid that thing would split wide open.

John that's why she only has one coat of oil on ---- for the next couple of days it is on "Suicide Watch". The trick is to keep it from splitting WIDE open.
