I bought this Tormek tts-100 for setting up and sharpening my gouges and skews. This thing is so easy a caveman could do it. If you have a tormek or jet wet sharpener, this is it. I sharpened my Powder metal Elsworth to perfect form in about a minute including set up. Same goes for any gouge. It runs about 30 bucks but it'll be the best 30 bucks you ever spent.

What settings did you use for to get Ellsworth grind?

After making sure the 2 metal disks touch the wet wheel, on the other side of this device are about 3 or 4 depth settings. Slide the swivel holder[dont recall the #]to the deepest setting and clamp it down. then install the swivel on the rod as shown in the pic.I forgot, set the device as shown in the back hole on the round rod.A couple swivels back and forth and you are good to go.Been doing it thataway 2,3 years.Mine isnt even a quarter in. shorter than a new one. The new jigs can be adjusted to the #6 angle to do the Elsworth grind, but on the old ones you have to go just past the #5 setting on the jig that holds the tool for grinding. Harvey hit all the other important steps.

That jig rocks. I just finished all the tools in my shop in less then 30 min.
