Looking for a jig to use with a shop vac for dust collection on the drill press. I know I came to the right place for ideas. Thanks.

I just use the rigid flex hose that LV sells. http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=62605&cat=1,42401,62597,62604&ap=1 Works great, and is easy to reposition.

Ray,

Penn State Industries sells what looks to be the same as Lee Valley, except that they sell it as a complete 2 1/2" or 4" set. About $20. Includes a 39" hose, adapters, and a bell mouth nozzle and a tapered nozzle. Should do the job.

When running a drum sander, I remove the center MDF insert and put a dust collection line right underneath the table (it's the perfect size to hold the insert). For everything else, I use this:

Found these...I don't have either, I just clamp my hose to the neck. Need to build the one on the right. I've also heard of folks taking the clamp off those metal shop lamps to hold their hose on.

Since these pics I've added a nozzle and a blastgate to share the Vac with my smaller bandsaw but, I did this:

Although I use a DC, I have a piece of PVC at the table. It's connected to the DC system with a length of flexible 4" drainage hose I got at Lowes.

This is very creative. I have been trying to find a way to attach my hose from my DC.

Here's a hood I made for the group of ladies who use my shop once per month to make cupboard doors.

There's a left and right hood which which mounts on the Kreg track on the drill press fence..........Rod.

Whoa, could you 'splain a bit more about a group of ladies making cupboard doors once a month? (sorry for the hijack)

I was wondering about that one too. Is there a different meeting somewhere else where they make cupboards?
