I will be traveling in London, England in the fairly near future and need to know if you can carry suitcases on the London subway system? Are there any special procedures to follow?

Yes you can, but I wouldn't advise it at rush hour. Some stations would be very unfriendly for suitcases, especially ones larger than carry-on size. Where in London are you going from / to?

In 1999 you could. There's a lot of walking and a lot of escalators--you want to travel as light as possible.

There are no luggage restrictions on luggage on public transport in the UK - you just have to carry it on and off yourself. Travel details from the airport http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/2558.aspx

Enjoy your time in the anthill.
