My mason brought his son over, so while he was doing some rock work for me, his son and I went out for some good old fashioned wood turning. His first goblet. He's mighty proud of his work. I suspect a wood lathe may be on his birthday list. heh heh

Well - be sure to tell him from us that he did an outstanding job on the goblet! Very nice form, beautiful wood and I am sure a turning his Momma is proud of! Nice job on mentoring Dan! Thanks for sharing!

I'll bet his father is going to be extremely happy with you, putting his son on the lip of the vortex. But on the up side, if his son is turning he knows were he is.

And, a fine goblet it is!! Dan, you may have a prodigy on your hands, and the stone mason has found a good mentor for his son. If he comes to your place every week, you can trade out lessons for stonework!!

Too cool! It's a shame he's not gonna be happy with anything less than mustard for the birthday present.

WOW, that is awesome on all accounts... and a WAY better goblet than I've ever managed to turn. Great gesture!
