I have some 1/4"x1/4" brass stock, up to 8' in length.I want to bend it in a circle, and in a "C" pattern.I'm a woodworker, and only have a metal vise and a ballpean hammer.I tried to bend it around a round block of wood but as in was bending it was also twisting in section.Any ideas? Does heat help? I have Mapp gas.. Thanks Rob

The video above is way overkill for what you are talking about, but notice the "shoulders" on the bending die. This is what keeps the square tube from twisting. It will help to have something similar to that to keep things straight. Brass is much softer than steel, so it will be a lot easier. Depending on the radius of the bend, heat will definitely help.
