Opinions: The Beam Machine

I would be very interested in any personal reviews on the Beam Machine. Anyone have it?
I'm thinking of using it to create 36" long or so beams from some Maples and Oaks, to 1/4 saw on an 18" Jet BS.

It cuts nice and straight if your saw is nice and sharp but it is a serious workout.

Why don't you just get your friendly neighborhood sawyer to cut your wood for you? It shouldn't cost anymore than 30 cents/boardfoot
