I sandwiched an old hollow-core door with 1/4" hardboard (masonite) to make a light, flat surface for glue-ups. Anyone know a good way to glue-proof it from drips so they could be easily scaped off? I'm thinking a generous coat of Johnson paste wax.

A couple coats of varathane is perfect for assembly tables!

My workbench is MDF which is different but, I used BLO, let it cure and used Johnson's Paste Wax. I have re-waxed it (about) annually and have no issue; glue pops right off.
