I told you to bear with me. I will have to go back to work on Monday. After the Caltapa? beating. I dug out some Persimmon that I use to make chisel handles. I've had it for 20 years, dry as a bone, hard as a rock. I love it. The heart wood is jet black. I will have to make the rest of this last and maybe use Hickory for handles. It turns smooth as glass if you keep sharpening. #20, 6" dia. x 2" tall.

Nice bowl, it has a good shape and looks very smooth. Is that a lacquer finish?

Another great one, Deane. We are going to have to get you back to work, or all chip in for some more wood!! You are going thru it like a machine. I really like the pith in this one, and I am amazed there are no cracks. I just got some dry persimmon to try thread chasing on. It is a neat looking wood.

Another beauty! I've not turned persimmon, but I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for some. Lovely shape.
