I have been scanning the woodworking catalogs to treat myself with a new tool or??? Started working again after being unemployed for about a year. Held my last job for 24 years. I have been deprived of new tools for way too long LOL!!!!

So what is on your list to buy next? I am not thinking anything big for myself but would love to hear anyway.

The next purchase will be wood for an upcoming project, but a new cordless drill/impact set is not far behind.

Thinking about an edge sander....used. Waiting to see what my rich buddy thinks of his new, used, one. Also looking for good used Unisaw.

I'd like to upgrade my jointer to a 8 x 72 grizzly when the money tree starts yielding it's fruit once again.

My next purchase will be a Milwaukee 5625 Router to install in a router table I'm building.

I'd also like to get a Biesmeyer Overarm Blade Guard for my Unisaw (Maybe later this year), and upgrade my Powermatic PJ-882 Jointer to a Byrd Head (Probably next year).

Dual drum sanding machine. I currently have a Performax 16-32, but it is limited to one drum, one grit paper. Would be nice to place progressive grits on the drums and get closer to finished.

I was looking at the 24" Grizzly at the showroom last week. I wouldn't mind getting one of those but it probably won't ever happen.

I think the next investment in my shop will probably be building my finishing room in the unfinished space. My wife keeps asking when I'm going to do it. The plan was for a raised wooden floor since the floor is dirt/gravel now, but I'd really like to pour a concrete floor back there so I keep putting it off. I bought a surplus exterior french door that's been sitting in our garage and a stack of PT 2x8's last summer.

I'm pulling together funding for a JET 18" band saw on craigslist, as long as it doesn't sell to someone else first.

Joe - this one you are simply going to love............

Most likely, I'll be getting a replacement for my pancake compressor. Going downhill fast.....

Looks like the leading contender is the I-R 2hp twin-stack oiled - might as well go for something quieter. Plus - add a box to a circuit for it, with a 15a timer to make the rest of the crowd happy :D :D - automatically cut off the power........

After I build the MS bench, I think a redo of shop lights is up next.

Sheetrock, insulation, and a sub panel install are next on my list. Followed by plywood, hard board, peg board, and plenty of hard wood. (I have projects lined up waiting for material to work with...)

My next tool purchases will likely be the Shop Fox 3/4 HP bench top mortising machine, and a Grizzly G0691 table saw... Will have to get a new Shark guard / splitter / knife so that I can fit my Shark Guard to the Grizz...

I will eventually want to replace my planer / jointer with one of those Grizzly 12" combo jobs... I am really liking the Polar Bear series model with the T style fence. Less floor space used. Just not sure how square it stays...

I'm waiting to see what kind of specials Grizzly has on their rumored spring sale.

I'm thinking that I can always use another sanding machine of some kind.:D

I want to REPLACE my 8"x72" Grizzly jointer with a vintage Crescent/Delta 8".

Absolutely nothing. It's not that I have everything, or at least I do't have everything yet. I've blown my wad for a while and will make do with the tools in my shop. I'm still trying to fit in shop time with all the home/yard improvements and the shop time is losing out.

You will like that jointer. I've had mine for about 3 years - it's a huge upgrade from a 6 inch Sears!

An 18 inch bandsaw. I'm tired of being limited to 6 inches under the guides. No, a stacking block doesn't work on a Powermatic cast iron model 141.

I just paid a couple thousand to have an old 150' tree taken down that was tooooo close to the house. So after looking at my financial resources, my next purchase(s) will be reduced for a while to something like a ball peen hammer, which I've been living without for too long. A good one isn't cheap.

Kent,
No need for the will! :D
I'll just print out the URL to this thread & stick it on the IR so my wife knows where it should go ;).

Man, I have no idea what that was all about yesterday. Probably stress over my last and most recent big ticket purchase......a tank of gas!

I have a bunch of tools that are just in need of some accessories. My next windfall is going to bits, blades, and mobile bases. I also have a couple old machines in the queue to be restored so I think I'll work on those. Consumables are expensive (sandpaper, stripper, solvents, paints...).

Good News - sounds like you are back with us.

Bad News - the good news just cost me a few hundred bucks :D :D
