Here' a few pics of the box I made last Jul while I was recuperating from open heart surgery which I had on 21 Jun. It was a real quicky job because I wasn't asked to do it until a week before the burial services. It was for one of my nephews, so I could hardly refuse. I selected Ipe wood for the box because it is super durable and lasers well and because I had it handy. It is quite red, very heavy and dense, and silky smooth to the touch after sanding. I used soapy water and an toothbrush to clean up the images after lasering.
