Is there anyone who does logs into blanks around Tinley Park Illinois?

Ralph,

I'm not going to be any help since I don't know anything about Illinois, but what does "logs into blanks" mean?

I assume he means rough sawn boards.

I assume he means rough sawn boards.

Or maybe he's talking about turning blanks.

Jamie, that was the only thing I could think of, too, bowl blanks or similar.

Logs into rough sawn boards... that's a sawmill :D.

I don't have a lathe, so I never thought of that!

If you're talking about making turning blanks, there are a ton of threads on that subject and the guys and gals in the Turning Forum are a great bunch and quite helpful. It's not hard to make your own if you have a chainsaw and a bandsaw.

Ok my wife didn't want that Sugar Maple too close to the house and it takes up alot of shade.....I plucked the seedling from my parent's yard about 30 years ago and it got 12 to 15 inches at the base. So that's why I would like to find someone to resaw them.
