Here is a Black Ash Burl Bowl Ive just finished, pretty simple form, but thats theway a newbie like myself learns, keep it simple. My wife will be using it for a Fruit Bowl on our breakfast counter. Its 11 inches diameter and about 6 inches deep. Once again, the suggestions really helped out on my inside bottom.

WOW, what a georgous bowl The burl is incredile and so is the form. IMHO you should sign all your work and date it. I can see you'll be turning for a long time to come.

What a spectacular piece of wood and the form you chose shows all of its beauty. Agree with Bill on signing your work.

That's a knockout piece of wood, Cory, and the finish looks great as well. The hardest part of bowl making for me is getting the interior and exterior curves to match up... I'm still working on that part. I'll bet your wife is pretty excited to have that bit of eye candy on the counter.

When you have a piece of wood that is that beautiful, simple forms are the way to go. You did great work on that one for sure!

Very nice! That's about as intense burl as I've ever seen.
