With walnut branch, same way like the chessnut gourds
but with shorter neck (thus not hollowing per bottom, but all through the neck on two axis)
H 90 X dia 80mm inside painted with acrilic gold , and outside with fe acetate (iron in vinegar) only burnished.
Not very happy with the color...
Comments welcome
Friendly, Lionel.

Hard for me to tell on the color Lionel, but the shape is nice and definitely unique. Would make someone wonder how you did that. At least me!

Another really nice turning Lionel! I like the offset axis and the way you have the sides carved so as to appear they are folded on top of each other! Vinegar solution is unpredictable sometimes - depends a lot on the wood! While this may not be the dark color you were looking for - it is unique and helps set this turning apart!

Looking forward to seeing what you turn next!

Very nice! I suspect you cracked it and squeezed it with clamps? I want to try something like this.

Interesting form, Lionel. I agree with you about the color, but it's the first thing I've ever seen you post that wasn't perfect... So you're human!
