Tool Rest Extension Question

I have a Jet 1442 and was using the tool rest extension the other day and had a bad catch. It snapped the tool rest extension right at the base. Does anyone know of a good after market extension?

Those rest extensions are all accidents waiting to happen. I assume you rotated the headstock to allow a larger turning swing, and that is also not safe as far as I'm concerned, because you're trying to exceed the safe limits of the machine. If a larger swing capacity is required, you need a bigger lathe!
