Another collaberation

Here is another piece that Alane and I finished. Hayes, this is the chunk of Box Elder that you gave me at the Bosch Demo last month.
5 1/2 tall by 4 wide. Artwork masked and 4 coats of Minwax clear satin poly and the rest is Beal Buffed and waxed only.

Ian---I like that a lot. Not always a fan of embellished forms, but this is very tastefully done. Only qualm I have is that the focal point appears pretty much in the middle of the form top to bottom, and might have been better placed a little higher, closer to the 1/3 or widest part of the form, but that's a compositional nit pick - the execution of the painting is lovely.

What a neat looking piece! The turning is nicely done, but I'd consider rolling that foot under just a bit to give it a little lift. The painting is quite nice, and I like the textured background to highlight the artwork. Great job.
