I am in need of a classy award that must have some sort of clock in it...need to stay around $70 for materials.

Any ideas?

You could get the clock and some ideas from PSI, Paramount Services Incorporated. They sell dye sub items there.

You could...

Find a classy clock, replace the face with some acrylic, marble or other material
Get some granite (or Corian) engrave the award, mark and drill out a hole for a movement
Take a thick piece of wood, cut a small angle, engrave the award then place a clock, thermometer and barometer in it. If angled correctly, it would sit on a desk.
Revere engrave the back of some mirror, add a clock movement then frame it in a thick frame.
Everyone LOVES edge light acrylic...

Sounds fun, post some pics when done!

The school District I work for gives out a special award each year for the "FRIEND OF EDUCATION". It goes to a community member that has gone above and beyond for us as a volunteer. Banquet is coming fast and they asked me to do an award! I like the corian idea...I have been doing some that lately and it has some good potential.
