Hello All.....First time post on this Forum, I usually hang-out over with the Rowdy Bunch...You know....The Turners but, Thought this might be the place to post this. I am looking for a reputable company that some of you may be able to reccomend regarding an 18V. Battery rebuild. I have 4 Ryobi 18V. batteries that are on their last legs. They've been in service for abt 3 yrs and will only last for 5-8 min after a "full" charge.
Any of you Creekers have any experience with a rebuilder that you would care to comment on?
Thanks
Jim

I found a local (to me) rebuilder by doing a google maps search on battery rebuilding. Here's their contact info. http://batteryexpressinc.com/pb/wp_108e5041/wp_108e5041.html

I am happy with the work he did and the turn around was 1 day.

Oh, and this topic would normally go into the general woodworking and power tools forum.

Ryobi battery's can be purchased new for less than a rebuild.

But some say a rebuild is better.

I think I was given a bid of $35 for rebuilt 14.4 volt. If sending them away shipping will add to the cost.
