Mesquite Gloat

I was sitting in the living room watching the storm when the mail lady pulled up and struggled to get a box out the back of her truck. I went down and carried it to the house and what to my wondering eyes should appear but a big piece of Mesquite from the venerable Alan Trout. Thanks Alan, I'll try not to ruin it. :D

Congrats! I've only turned Mesquite a few times and it is some amazing wood! Have fun and I'm looking forward to see what you turn out of it!

It was funny When I took it to the post office the Postman ask if it was fragile. I told him the only thing that was fragile is if you dropped it on your toe. He put it on the scale and said "You are getting a heck of a deal on the shipping" I smiled and said "Yes I realize what does it weight". 30lbs. Thank goodness for the large flat rate box:).
