The Midland Woodworkers Association (of Michigan) is hosting a 2 day seminar featuring Stephen Proctor. He is a world renowned wood worker and teacher. That has numerous credits to his name. (See Bio below)



STEPHEN PROCTOR,
Is currently a furniture design-maker who lectures throughout the world. He has an M.A. degree in furniture design from the Royal College of Art in London, England. From 1975 to 1988 he was involved with the Wendell Castle School in Scottsville, NY, and became dean there in 1981. He has taught at the Rochester Institute of Technology and has lectured at woodworking schools throughout North America. His furniture has been exhibited in London, Tokyo, Basle, New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., and has been featured in Fine Woodworking, Vogue, London Times, American Craft, and Corporate Showcase. Stephen is an excellent instructor who is unparalleled when it comes to problem solving and hand skills.

Stephen has taut every year at the Mark Adams School of wood working for the last few years with great revues. If anyone is interested in coming to the 2 day seminar there are some seats left. The seminar is on Friday 5-6-11 and Saturday 5-7-11. Starting at 8:30 am till about 5:00pm. A homemade lunch is provided along with bake goods and coffee for the morning. The cost for the seminar for non-members is $120.00 for both days or $90.00 for one day. For members its $95.00 for both days or $60.00 for one day (member ship this time of year is only $10.00 so if you are interested it would pay to become a member) and Stephen will also be doing a slide presentation of his work Thursday night at 7:00 pm for free if you come to the seminar or not.

For those that are thinking about the seminar it is being held in Alburn, Michigan just south east of Midland.
