I was watching HGTV and saw a spalted vessel being made for this millionaires house. It was absolutley gorgeous. I do not remember what kind of wood that is was, just remember spalted. Wondering if anyone out there in turners land has ever done a vessel and if you have pics of it.

What I am meaning or calling a vessel is an above the counter "sink" that is used in a bathroom. Not referring to a vase or etc..

A spalted wooden sink? I'm not sure how that would even work.

Coat it with mucho epoxy resin to seal the wood, but there are often problems with the drain area hole seepage under the finish.

I've seen wooden sinks. Haven't seen spalted, but don't know why it wouldn't work with a similar surface treatment.
