I went to Woodcrafters, Lowes, and HomeDepot today to buy a new table saw blade knowing it was time for a replacement and planning on a number of new projects all using veneered plywood.

There were just too many choices, just in the Freud section, and I have not been keeping up with what is new and great.

They all cost between $75 and $100 which is less than the cost of a good sheet of plywood so money is not the object here.

As of 4/22/11 there must be some consensus of the top 2 or 3 blades that would rise to the top of ones list for veneered ply.

What are they?

All 80T Hi-ATB grinds...find a deal and you've got the one of the 4 cleanest cutting plywood blades I've ever seen.

I agree with Scott, I just did my first large project with good veneered plywood and got got the Freud LU80 and I could not believe the edge on the cuts, smooth as could be.

Whenever I want the best possible cut I can get w/anything that can fit under it - I reach for my Festool TS55EQ.

I buy only Everlast blades. Though I have a combination blade and a plywood blade, I never have taken the plywood blade out of the cardboard container. The combination blade does a remarkably clean job on 2S2 plywood.

I think it has something to do with the quality of the carbide used. They have a website, and are sold by a few higher end WWing and tooling dealers.

So what did you end up with Bruce?
