Looking for input on the grizzly G0612. Is there any other brand that I should be looking at or one to stay away from?

Something else to consider is say the 8" Jet combo machine. I recently looked at one and it looked pretty light and not much more expensive. The problem is the slippery slope. The local WoodCraft guy told me that he sells mostly the 10" Jet combo machine because it is just a wee bit more money, and 10" is pretty wide in the grand scheme of things.

I really wanted the 12" model that does not use the straight knives, but it weighs about 500 to 600 pounds and I am not certain how much of it I can take it apart to maneuver it around the sharp turn at the bottom of my basement stairwell.

It seems that most of my wood is greater than 6" wide, just something to think about.

Before you order ANYTHING Grizzly, see if it's in stock first. You could have a very long, and frustrating wait for it to be delivered.
