This is a birdhouse that I made for a competition. The bottom is staved construction and I routed the sides to resemble a paper cupcake holder. The top was turned and then I used bondo to make the icing. The cherry on top was turned from a cherry scrap and spray painted red.192332

Looks good enough to eat. Nice job. Bet the residents will be the envy of any flock.

Steve, it is approx.13 inches high by 12" in dia. on the icing part.

I was thinking the same thing. Don't know if that would be helpful in luring new residents though. :)

Joe, I think "Muffin Mansion" might be a better title!! Great piece, with a lot of "outside the box" thinking going on. The routed sides are very well done, and I love the little cherry - great work.

Nice, I've seen a lot of bondo in furniture repair, but this is the most creative use so far! Hope the birds like it.
