Congrats on joining the mustard club.

FYI...if you upgraded from a lathe with 1x8 spindle....then you'll need to relook at your chucks and other things threaded on a smaller spindle. Silly me, I forgot and ended up going back to the money well for another couple hundred dollars. Here's what I remember:

- 4 Nova chucks = 4 new inserts,
- tool rests for 3/4" post = 2 new Robust posts for 1" post,
- vacuum chuck adapter for 1"to 1.25",
- longer brass rod thru headstock for vacuum pump.
- Upgrade hollowing jig from 16" to 20"...luckily I had the Monster setup so the upgrade was easy-peasy.
- My bowl steady was custom fit to my old lathe ways so it was either build another one or buy one. I'm in for $3000 already so I broke the bank and bought one painted to match the MM.

Okay it ended up being more than a couple hundred buck.....but I have no regrets and the wife got to go to Hawaii.

Thanks jim....@ NEOWTA we have a bring back raffle...you draw a ticket and get to pick a peice someone brought....then...you have to make something and bring it back.....in 3 or 4 years I never got in on the drawing cause I was worried about bringing something back good enough....well I got in and I won my wife a turned and carved rabbit for easter my by one of the demonstraters---looks like i will be testing out teh PM sooner that later

I so hope you are going to be in the area again because I TRUELY TRUELY was looking forward to learning how you do what you do....Coolest thing ever IMHO....can't afford burning tools now that I got teh PM but Almeta taught a class on homemade burning tools so.... Giddy up

do you have any video's out there?? please private message me if so (not sure if you get in trouble for advertising on here??)
