Good evening,

I am working on a project were I will be creating a series of equipment ID tags. The customer requires the tags to be sequential, have a Data Matrix 2D bar code and a 4 to 5 digit number. I will be using Corel X4 for the design work, and I will be laser engraving the tags in runs of 25 to 100. My question is, what is the best method for generating the 2D bar code inside of Corel? Is there a plug in, or a font that will work? The project could be as little as 100 tags and as many as 3000 tags, so some automation is required.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions in advance.

Dieter

Corel has multiple barcode fonts, and for automation I would suggest looking for the many tutorials floating around here (and the web) on data input from a text file. One of our members created a good tutorial, but the name escapes me at the moment... someone will reply with it soon, I'm sure.
