This is a pic of the bowl that Mark Kauder and Dan Barber helped me turn. It's bowl #1, and no, I have not ordered a lathe. I'm going to steal my friend's lathe, since he never uses it.

Here's another shot of the bowl. Help me out here guys, but I believe it's cherry. It does still need to be sanded and finished, but it was a lot of fun so far. Dimensions are roughly 6-3/4" x 2-3/4".

Some of the things we came home with. There's a hunk of beeswax (Thanks, Lee Schierer!) Some scrollwork: Terry helped my wife, Kristine, turn the house and the tiny bear next to it, and he did the walnut "Painter on a ladder"--thanks, Terry! Thanks to Rob Lee for the Lee Valley/Veritas keychain, and special thanks to Keith Outten for the SMC bumper-sticker and the acrylic square, both of which he cut and engraved on his laser.
