Molding knife help

I need to turn several tool handles for my PC tool box I'm bringing to a muzzle loading rifle shoot in Friendship IN in June wth my gun making stuff. I don't have a wood lathe so I use my Atlas Craftsman machine lathe. I need a cutter made I can park in the tool post and turn down the handles I need. The cutter is simply a profile of yhe handle and about, oh, three inches long and, maybe, 1 1/4" wide made of the same steel that shaper knives and molding head knives are made from. I can't make this thing and wonder if anyone here does it or works in a production woodworking shop and profiles their own molding knives?
