Hello all,
I'm new here - the forum and northern Nevada. I'm having trouble locating a hardwood supplier here. I've been to Mastercraft and their prices are okay but their selection of cherry isn't great right now. Woodfinder.com is sending me to Sacramento.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave

Not much closer than Sacramento is Auburn Hardwoods in Auburn about an hour and forty min. from you. Don't know of much in Reno/Sparks area.

How far away is Carson City?

Tom at 775 720 2470 posted a Workshop lease ad on Craigslist. He'll likely have a stash to sell, or should be able to point you to a nearby seller.

I would be cautious about anything that comes into the high desert for a few weeks. It's going to shrink at low humidity levels.
(I live in Coastal Massachusetts, and have the opposite problem.)

Check with MacBeath Hardwood in Salt Lake. I am pretty sure that they go to Reno, Elco, Etc. Also there is Intermountain Lumber in SLC. They go up into Idaho near to where you may go. Their quality is top notch and prices are better than you may see else where.
