"Good" in more ways than you may think!

WANT TO HAVE FUN AT A PARTY? PREPARE THIS RECIPE! COMPLETELY EDIBLE, BUT
YOUR FRIENDS MAY NOT THINK SO!

CAT LITTER CAKE RECIPE

On a recent visit to our veterinarian to get shots for our cat I found
this recipe on the waiting room bulletin board. After recovering from
hysterical laughter, I obtained a copy from the office staff so that my
wife could make it, which she refused to do. I took it to work and gave
the recipe to a lady at work who loves cats The pictures below show the
results of her work, which looks like S#%* but it's actually quite
tasty, so I decided to pass it along.

CAKE INGREDIENTS
1 box spice or German chocolate cake mix

1 box of white cake mix

1 package white sandwich cookies

1 large package vanilla instant pudding mix

A few drops green food coloring

12 small Tootsie Rolls or equivalent

SERVING "DISHES AND UTENSILS"
1 NEW cat-litter box

1 NEW cat-litter box liner

1 NEW pooper scooper

Prepare and bake cake mixes, according to directions, in any size pan.
Prepare pudding and chill. Crumble cookies in small batches in blender
or food processor. Add a few drops of green food coloring to 1 cup of
cookie crumbs. Mix with a fork or shake in a jar. Set aside.

When cakes are at room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss
with half of the remaining cookie crumbs and enough pudding to make the
mixture moist but not soggy. Place liner in litter box and pour in
mixture.

Unwrap 3 Tootsie Rolls and heat in a microwave until soft and pliable.
Shape the blunt ends into slightly curved points. Repeat with three more
rolls. Bury the rolls decoratively in the cake mixture. Sprinkle
remaining white cookie crumbs over the mixture, then scatter green
crumbs lightly over top.

Heat 5 more Tootsie Rolls until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the
cake and sprinkle with crumbs from the litter box. Heat the remaining
Tootsie Roll until pliable and hang it over the edge of the box. Place
box on a sheet of newspaper and serve with scooper. Enjoy!

Yeah, I showed it LOML, as well. At first it was, "EEEEUUUUUU...That's gross!" As I started to leave the room she was in, I started hearing her laughing hysterically. I said what's so funny? She said she's going to make one and take and "share" it with the girls at work. It is pretty creative, I must admit.:)

My wife made one this past Holloween and took it to her bowling league. Everyone had a fit over it. BTW, it tastes very good. :)

Hi John

Thanks for posting this one! As a cleaner of cat boxes for years, I was completely disgusted, and I cannot wait to try it out on someone! I think the only way to improve it would be to melt a little puddle of chocolate in one spot to simulate uhhh, stomach distress.

Bill, the stomach distress at our house is always in the middle of the hardest to clean carpet. How did you teach them to barf in the litter box? :D

This is great! It reminds me of one of my sons early birthdays. I found a recipe for "dirt" . Made with oreo crumbs, Cool Whip,and....well I can't remember the exact recipe, but it also included Gummi worms and was served in a bucket with a gardener's trowel. Went over great with a bunch of 5 yr. old boys!

5 year old boys really love it as I served it at my son's 5 year bithday party a year ago. The girls were not so enthusiastic.

Man, I just don't think I could eat that. I can smell ammonia just looking at the picture! I love my cat, but I REALLY hate her cat box.

Dan, it is pretty funny to watch people's reactions to it! It normally takes about an hour before someone will "dig in". When done right, it really does look very real!

You know, I've noticed something really kind of funny, besides the "cake" itself. The comments seem to read that kids, particularly younger males, don't find a problem with it. Yet, as we grow older, it looks repulsive. Kinda' makes a guy NOT want to grow up, don't it?:D
