I have a very small Millers Falls miter box exactly like the one in the picture on this link :

The problem is that I need a saw for it that has a depth of blade under the back of 2 1/4" max and would probably be safer at 2-2 1/8. I have a crown gents saw that fits well but is too short. I would prefer not to drop $195 on the LN custom.

Does anyone know what saws came with these little boxes or a saw make and model that would fit ?

What you want is to find a miter saw used with the correct lenght and have the blade cut and re-toothed to the right hieght..
It should not be too expensive I think..

Try

Ed Paik
OAKVILLE, ONTARIO

Ed would be able to insert a thinner saw plate since it is a much lower saw if you wanted..
The steel is maybe $10-$20 and will cut faster since its a thinner kerf..
