This one is from some of my Maple. A bit fancier then normal for me...just playing around haha! The foot looks better in person, looks blocky in the pic...

11 x 3 a 1/4 shy
MAO no buff yet

Second is a piece of my Hickory. It was abit deeper but a crack forced me to cut it down. Another crack was present and was repaired.

6.5 x 2 x thinner then normal for me!
Laquer and buff

Couple of nice ones, Ken! I like the "fancier" bowl. The other is nice wood, and looks pretty good, but hard to tell without a profile shot.

I like these 'fancy' bowls better. Does this mean I am a fancy person? Hope not!
Gotta take care of that.

I like the first one best too. I haven't done any lipped rims yet, will have to give that a try.

Yep...me too. I like the first one the goodest. I like the little undercut on the lip and I like the wood. I had a bad experience with a hickory dining table once....maybe that's why. Nice work!!:)

LOL, I think the 1st one is ok, but my tastes are very plain haha!

I still cook most of my meats for supper outside in a Dutch oven or over coals so anything beyond basic for me is pretty fancy:D I throw on a few Hickory cut offs just to smell the place up!

Great work, Ken! I also like the one with the foot.........I like a foot on a bowl, as it gives lift and adds another dimension to the form..........so the form is really good on the first, and supper looks great as well! ;)

The second is also nice...........keep up the good work.........one of these months maybe our paths will cross, and we can talk shop!

Both are nice looking bowls in my opinion. I would take either one. The rim does add a nice touch though.

Nice bowls Ken. Looks like a big fire for a little piece of meat. Looks quite tasty though.

I like the first one. The curve under the lip is a nice touch. What was dinner, looks good.

Thanks everyone

Baxter, remember all those limbs everywhere haha! I have been burning them non stop!

That was a 5 lb Pork Loin and it was mighty tasty! I usually cook on the woodstove but now that its nice I can go back outside!
