I tried to find the orginal thread with the pictures of all the maple that was cut over at Mike Cruz's place. SOmewhere along the line Mike suggest that within the next month all of us whe took some of the wood should share some of the results. I know I am a bit late, but here is my contribution. Note I do not have a jawed chuck -- I used a jam chuck on a face plate to hold the plate. It needs more sanding and so far it just has a little mineral oil to give me a good feel for what the surface is like. This is much more work to be done. Any suggestions or reactions are welcome.:)
