Anyone had a chance to check this out? Any opinions on their reasoning that their 2 micron bags are satisfactory?

Satisfactory for what? The cone just helps remove large stuff from the air stream, before hitting the filter, it doesn't affect the small stuff. And it's the small stuff you want the filter, so if you're good with 2 micron, well, there ya go...
