I could see some of the punk areas but there is still a lot of wood left! Might give a turning some additional character!

Man, those sure turned out funky, Patrick. Sorry to put you through the trouble just to burn it. Maybe the other pieces will turn out better. No pun intended.

That is one UGLY sucker! Just don't confuse which one goes on your lips...

Looking forward to seeing the oak...that I turned down...

Hey, Patrick, my neighbor cut off the rest of what was above ground from the tree. Think anything could be saved from this? :D

Well, Roger, what size chainsaw you got there, huh, buddy? I'm sure my neighbor could be talked into letting us cut 'er up...

Don't know what size chainsaw you'll need, but don't bring the electric. You'll need the noise to scare off the guard dogs!

jon

we could get by with 24inch or couple nice steaks lol

If they don't turn around, maybe we could just sneak up from behind and tiptoe off with the log. Then we could eat the steaks ourselves. I'll carry the chainsaw, you get the log.

I'll make it easy, gas chainsaw (no power anywhere near that for an electric one), they are my dogs (so I can "call them off"), and I could grill up the steaks (although the dogs are still sitting there guarding the log, so it might be nice to toss steaks to the dogs, too). And I won't make poor Patrick carry that log off, I'll take my tractor (not the ATV and cart this time, Patrick) down to carry the wood up.

BTW, the dogs are in the pic for frame of reference, the boxer is 50 lbs and the lab mix is 60 lbs.
