This afternoon I payed a visit to Rick Bauer's studio and shop in Durand,WI.
He has a beautiful barn studio with plenty of inventory on hand including large bowls
and hollow forms.
Rick is a member and mentor in the Chippewa Valley Woodturners Guild.
He often does demonstrations and is the club auctioneer.
A tour of the shop finds a large Ricon lathe and bandsaw along with a new Delta 46-460 for taking to demos.
I was interested in his captive hollowing tool shown in the photos.
A very nice visit with a gift of a chunk of butternut for a couple of bowls!
