Thought I jump on the band wagon again :D

This is a No. 8 Type 11 that I got from a friend on another forum. This plane is highly tuned. It will take shavings so thin you can read the morning news paper through them. This plane a raised my expectations of my planes from now on. It is equiped with a LN Blade and a Clifton Chip Breaker.

And this is the plane I was just asking you folks about last week. It is everything you folks said it would be. You can get the mouth so tight on this thing. I am so glad I picked it up. It is so light compared to a Stanley Bench plane I almost flung it across the shop :D

And I decided to get one of these after I kept getting out bid on shoulder planes on eBay. :rolleyes:

It has been a good week but I have to admit that my tool buying is going to come to a screeching hault! There are just a couple more things that I am going to get and then I will only buy as I need a tool. Well, that's the plan anyway :o

Thanks for looking,
John

Anybody besides me think the shavings from the #8 look exactly like the shavings taken by the Primus?

I'm not suggesting that this was a set up or anything.:D:rolleyes::D

Very cool, John.

The ballast you've gathered over the last few months certainly has you screaming down the slope! {wish I was there as well}

Now Dan,

I can't believe that you would question my character like that :D :D I can assure you that the shavings are from the No. 8. I was totally blown away by the performance of the plane.

I was considering the Galoot Salute :D

I've been eyeballing a couple replacement Clifton chip breakers myself.
So many things I'd like to try out, but $ are still a bit tight. Ah well, makes me more proficient with what I do have.

Hope y'all have been enjoying your weekend!
