Bill, What keeps it from rotating left-right when clamped in the twin-screw vise? Pressed for time so I didn't read the whole article.

Thicken the bottom end up and cut it to an octagon and you could position your work at 45° increments.

Looks like a real handy gadget though. If I ever get a bench finished, for sure this will be one of the things I'll build.

I just stuck the vise in my front vise for the pictures. Normally I use the "vise" in my tail vise.
