Well I picked it up at Woodcraft on Mar 1 and had to build a new stand and tonight I plugged it in and made a few shavings - boy is this machine nice. It has been two months since I turned anything and I felt like I was going to have relearn what little I knew - I built the stand with 4X4s and put 200 pounds of sand in the base.189239189241189242189240

You're gonna love it! When I got mine, I was like a kid at Christmas. Didn't have a thing to turn, so I'd just go out there and turn it on and wind the rpm's up and down just for the heck of it. I was used to my old 12" craftsman 25 year old machine and I had no idea that these things could run so quiet. Have fun!

Congrat's on the new DVR. I've had mine close to 2 years now and firmly believe I made the right decison. A fine machine that has done most everything I've asked of it. Enjoy her...Bill...

Congrats, Keith on the setup! Looks like a really good arrangement with the tool cabinet to the right of the lathe - handy! Nice work on the stand, too.

Congratulations, Keith! I really think this is the most under rated lathe on the market. Enjoy!

Steve, I did the same thing for a while last night! Then I decided to play and it was even more exciting!
