...for cutting:
1" - 3" wide boards to finished length?
4" - 6" wide boards to finished length?
6" - 9" wide boards to finished length?
10" and wider boards to finished length?
This is for handsaw use only.
*I'm looking for specific examples, such as: 12" carcase saw w/ 11 tpi, 20" panel saw with 10 tpi, etc.

Disston cross cut back saw 14 ppi iirc with a bench hook. Or if doing a lot on the saw bench my Disston #8 with about 12 teeth to the inch. Of course, this is for 1X stock. For 2X or bigger my tooth count goes down.

10" and wider boards to finished length?
These would likely be cut using the same Disston #8 if 1X or maybe my #7 at about 8 ppi for thicker stock. If it is real thick less ppi.

I use crosscut kataba in all cases, longer for thicker stock.

I found this question interesting enough to pad barefoot out to my shop here at 12:30 am to measure exactly. As it turns out, I have a pretty system ... easy to keep track of:
Just to mention, for a table saw-like finish I use a bench hook or a cutoff box ( same thing but with two "walls" instead of one ). I don't do any cutting off freehand anymore. My Marv Werner-sharpened saws all have a minimum set ( around .003" )
1/8" - 3" wide boards to finished length?.................12" X 14 TPI Disston
4" - 6" wide boards to finished length?....................14" X 12 TPI, or the 16"-er below, depending on wood species.
6" - 9" wide boards to finished length?....................16" X 3" X 12 TPI (A massive saw that's become my favorite over the years. )
10" and wider boards to finished length?..................20" X 10 TPI ( monster Disston miter saw --- might be longer )
For softer woods I drop down to 16" x 3" X 10 TPI , larger set at the expense of finish.

10 ppi for all crosscutting. The web is made from an old Warranted Superior Hand Saw about 23 inches long with a very narrow set, the thickness of copy paper each side.

Harry,
Has anyone ever told you that you are incorrigible? :)
I bet there's not another one like it in this forum.
This one blows me away.
I just may have to make one for myself.

Lately I have been sawing a fair amount by hand:
1-3" boards= Silky Gomboy 210mm, about 8.5 tpi
larger boards= Silky BigBoy- 360mm blade, 8.5 tpi
