This is one of those pieces that because of its condition had more to say about its final shape than I did. About 7" diameter. Although not exactly what I intended, I was pleased to complete it. It received very thin shellac prior to finish cuts and three wiped on coats of Tung oil finish. As always, any feedback or suggestions always welcome.

I'm not sure what you intended, but I sure like what you ended up with! This is a great looking piece of wood, and the form is sublime. Nicely done, sir.

Very nicely done, Hayes. The grain & colors in that piece of wood is fantastic, as is the form.

Striking with that band of red, kind of like a rainbow trout.
