I finally got this hollow form done maple,bocote,4 coats DO 4coats WOP. Finished the I,m calling it a vase poplar,3 coats DO 4 coats WOP, it's my buddy's (He turned it here and I finished it for him he's house burned just before Christmas so he turns in mine every couple weeks just to get away for a while.) The wood gloat is 10" to 12" Dia. Black cheery some spalting.I went to the Doctor for my shoulder she said no turning again, on the way home I found this next to a trash can sooo.I loaded it up came home and cut it up to this ,THEN the LOML CAME HOME!!!!!!!!! After I unscrewed her from the ceiling she was just a little HOT.For some reason she thinks the Doc.telling me no turning for another week also meant I shouldn't load wood ,run chain saw and put wood in shop on 2 wheeler can you imagine that. I think I used up all her sense of humor for the week.

Like the forms of both - What wood was used? The HF is pretty wild - spalted something? Looks like you have some nice stock to work with when you get the OK.

Nice work Harry! The Hf is great, but I love the NE vase...great curve and cool looking grain.

Those both look good. Like the sharp shoulder on the HF. Nice score on the wood, looks like you have a bunch. Sorry the shoulder news wasn't great, heal fast.

Harry, I like the HF! Nice work, and a nice wood combo. The grain orientation on the poplar piece is perfect - very neat.
