Amazon has the Forrest WW10407125 Woodworker II 10", 40-Tooth Blade for Table Saws (1/8" Kerf)on their Friday special for $89.99 w/ free shipping. Is this a good price?

Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered one. The only place I've seen it cheaper is 3D Saw Blades, $89.00 plus shipping.

That's why I can't quit my part time retirement job; there's always something I don't need but have to have!

Thanks, now I have gone and done it. I placed my order. I guess the CMT will have to ride second fittle now.

Mark, I am surprised the Festool did not produce the cuts you wanted. That makes me a little nervous as that is why I bought mine. Was it just the type of plywood was the issue or what. You can send me a primate email if you want to keep it under wraps.

Good for you Scott. I ordered this AM and just received email that it has shipped. After reading so much about this blade I'm anxious to get it.

I bought it used. Had to be barely used.

I'd rather use a 50 tooth 4+1 combo blade from Systimatic or Leitz, to be downright honest about it.

I have no complaints about the WWII. It's just it doesn't offer me anything that my two 4+1 blades don't. And I've used both types in solid hardwood and plywood. Thick (6/4, 8/4, 10/4, and 12/4) hardwoods and 4/4.

The last piece of oak plywood I cross cut with the WWII looked like luan after I cut it. I quickly found the blue tape and have went back to my old habits for crosscutting plywood.

Bob:

Sorry to say that this was a Friday special only. Amazon runs specials every Friday. I usually look in the AM, mull it over and if I decide to buy, I do so in the evening. I posted the message just after I read the specials because there had been a lot of talk about this blade, and I really wanted to know if this was a good price. The previous week they had an Excalibur EXBC on sale for $299 with free shipping, and I posted questions about that as well.

Still on sale at www.forrestblades.com (http://www.forrestblades.com) - which is really 3D saw blades, the dealer that "sells direct" for Forrest.

I paid $99 for mine and thank my lucky stars every time I use it. It has been worth every penny I paid for it. If you can get it for anything less, you're getting an outstanding bargain.
