Cork Fishing Rod handles

Has anyone done a Cork fishing rod handles if so well did it come out ?? and did you use a rotary for the design

Yep did one last year, scary expensive ultra light rod for a gift to a retiring fishing guide. Was the whole rod so we had to open up the laser and lock the end of the rod down, we couldnt use the rotary for it though. Cork engraves great!

Its on my own Fly rod, but having said that I don't want to screw it up though

Oh, I did have some old fishing rods around, (mine) so I had something to practice with! Just getting the rod aligned and locked down was the key.
