5 Gal paint buckets are not 12" in diameter. I have some 12" bowls I just roughed out and need something a little bigger in diameter than my 5 gal paint bucket. Any ideas?

Read someone here used a garbage bag. Put the blank in, pour in the goodies until it covers the blank, tie the bag ....

Read sometime on here to use a plastic bag, a box and wood chips. Insert bowl into bag, pack bagged bowl into chips, pour DNA into bag covering bowl, , seal bag.. You use a lot less DNA that way.......... Jerry (in Tucson)

I do my DNA soaks as Jerry describes it. Works well but I would recommend using the heavy duty contractors trash bags because the plastic is a lot thicker and you don't want a piece of shavings to poke a hole in the plastic bag!

I sure did a double take when I read the thread title... a 12 "foot" bowl is a helluva bowl!

Re soaking ideas, I like Jerry's suggestion. You could also use a plastic sack in a trash can, or buy an inexpensive plastic storage box from Wal-mart.

I've got a Tupperware container that will hold stuff just shy of 16"... It works for me.

I use 30 gallon plastic drums( the blue chemical drums ) for storage of all sorts of things...not sure of the actual diameter if the opening but a twelve inch saw blade will go through it, and they are seal-able with a top and lock ring.

I use Rubbermaid containers from Wal-Mart. The ones I have will hold a 16" bowl nicely.

I'd recommend very large zip lock bags. XX-Large They'd be perfect for this.
I use them to brine turkeys.

Mike Cruz has a nice Tupperware-style container with a sealed lid... no evap and appeared to hold a 14"+ blank without a problem.

Well, dont really want to do the bag thing. Guess I'll look at WalMart for a container.
