Here are some tables I made a while back.
The top and legs are solid mahogany, the aprons I made from layered 1/8" poplar veneer built up to 3/4" with a rippled veneer.
The inlaid strips are 1/16" boxwood.
The bottom border is satinwood between ebony.

Outstanding work, federal style furniture is really attractive to me, you have done it well.

Beautiful work. I'm also a fan of Federal furniture.

There is, however, something a bit incongruous about exquisite, Period reproductions sitting on top of a 4' stack of plywood. :)

Unfortunately I do mostly production work of "low end" stuff, hence the stack of pine ply.
I love making reproductions, I trained at a reproduction company that was begun in 1890.
There were many older cabinetmakers there who trained in an apprenticeship under master cabinetmakers in Germany, England and Italy.
I am starting a walnut highboy now, if it turns out well I will post some photos.

Please do. I'd love to see it and even progress pics if you can find the time.

BTW, you learned the lessons well at the reproduction shop. Your work is superb.
