This is a natural edge Cherry burl. It was harvested on Thursday and turned the same night. It was already dead and was very dry. I tried to make the base smaller but it had too much rot in it. I cut it off my neighbors property, so I will be giving him the bowl. Thanks for looking, Russell

Russell, looks like everything is going on with that burl!! Bugs, worms, rot, maybe a little spalting - character! Really has some nice color, too. Every burl is a good one - particularly the free ones. Your neighbor will be pleased.
