Here's a collaboritive piece my friend & I are donating to a charity auction.
I know it's a poor pic, sorry for that, it's from a scan of a photograph of it.
It's 15 3/8" tall X 6" dia. hickory finihed with acrylic & varnish.
I hope it does well for them, last yr. our piece brought $200 Over it's retail price. So the organization has high hopes for it,just hope there not let down.

Nice work, Joe. You really get a wonderful finish on your pieces, and the airbrush/detail brush work is very well done. Good luck on the auction!

The coloring on this is sublime! The high gloss finish makes it look more like glass than wood.

Nice blending with the airbrush with two drastically different colors. I'm still a novice on my airbrushing. I definitely like the approach you took with the coloring and the growth rings. A nice study in technique. Definitely a nice piece.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
One small correction though. The Event is a annual fund raising event for a non-profit Arts organization. I guess it shouldn't really be called a charity event.
